About

Welcome to the realm of the MAD Goddess™ —short for Middle AgeGoddess. Indeed, when all of this began I was middle aged, and utterly mad (in a not going to take it anymore kind of way). These days, I’m not so much of either.

You’re probably wondering what any of this has to do with simple witchery. For all of the TLDR Goddesses our there (that’s Too Long Didn’t Read), you can cut right to the chase by clicking on Herstory below. If you’re  wondering where you fit in, check Your Story.

Now for the rest of you.

I am a writer, artist, homemaker, feminist, and wildcraft witch (witch-no religion). I practice earth wisdom spirituality and I like to get my hands in dirt. I stir up healthy goodness in my kitchen using garden plants, flowers, herbs and wild ingredients foraged from the hedgerow and woods.

My realm is in the northern forest,
where air is crisp and water runs deep.
I am daughter of earth and sky
granddaughter of sun and moon.

Not so long ago I would have said I was becoming crone one mistake at a time, but as a crone in training I am expected to be wise; wise women don’t make mistakes, we have learning experiences.

From Midlife to Living Magically

Anyway, a funny thing happened on the way to this place; I lost my youth and found my way—my own way. I’m manifesting a simpler life, a life I can love, with fewer things to weigh me down and more experiences to lift me up. I want to have less of the things I don’t need and I want to do more of what I love.

Things don’t always go as planned but I’m doing my best, living the second half of life to suit me, with no surrender, and all the magic I can muster. If you’d like to hear all about it, follow my blog.
